[hylafax-users] Unspecified Phase C error

Hi all,

RedHat 7.2
Hylafax 4.2

2 Weeks ago I updated our 3 fax servers. I was told that faxes are being received but occasionally having blank pages. I attempted to look in the logs, but it looks like hylafax has stopped logging as of the date we updated our servers. Thats issue one.

The other issue is the following messages received in /var/log/messages:

Dec 28 15:01:08 fax1 FaxGetty[24949]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyS5'
Dec 28 15:01:19 fax1 FaxGetty[24949]: RECV FAX (000021318): from 6613242013, page 1 in 0:09, B4, 7.7 line/mm, 1-D MH, 14400 bit/s
Dec 28 15:01:19 fax1 FaxGetty[24949]: RECV FAX (000021318): recvq/fax000019108.tif from 6613242013, route to <unspecified>, 1 pages in 0:11
Dec 28 15:01:19 fax1 FaxGetty[24949]: RECV FAX (000021318): session with 6613242013 terminated abnormally: Unspecified Phase C error, including too much delay between TCF and +FDR command
Dec 28 15:01:19 fax1 FaxGetty[24949]: RECV FAX: bin/faxrcvd "recvq/fax000019108.tif" "ttyS5" "000021318" "Unspecified Phase C error, including too much delay between TCF and +FDR command" "" ""
Dec 28 15:01:34 fax1 FaxGetty[24949]: MODEM U.S. ROBOTICS 56K FAX /

The modem is configured as class 2.0. My boss is convinced that we had more problems with Class 1, even though it was on a much older version of Hylafax.

Are these errors related to using class 2.0 on this modem? If so I am sure he would listen to Lee (or anyone on the list for that matter) because he knows what he's talking about.

Thanks much!!

Adam
