WHFC works for me with Hylafax 4.2.0. (Hylafax server on Debian
testing, WHFC on Win 2000 and Win ME)
I like a recommendation for a client/server app for my other linux
box too.
If you use Gnome you can try gfax. Maybe you have binary packages in
your distributions. Homepage is

(I don't know the current version, on Debian there is version 0.4.2.
The author seems to try different programming languages every now and
then. If I remember correctly the first versions were written in
Objective C, then [0.4] in C, then [0.5] Python and now C# [0.6])
