Hello Christian,
I think I overlooked the "FaxSend".
Maybe your Hylafax does not use c2faxsend but hylafax' own faxsend.
Check all your configuration files if your setting is overwritten
somewhere.
Check the files in /etc/hylafax and /var/spool/hylafax/etc. You are
supposed to change the files in /etc/hylafax, the cahnges will be
copied to /var/spool/hylafax/etc by the startup script.

Nothing found in inittab
I think your inittab is OK.
You can change the value ServerTracing in your hylafax config file. Try
ServerTracing: 0x03FFFF
(default on my system was ServerTracing: 0x08501)
With this setting Hylafax will write more messages to syslog.
