if you have a version of hylafax-server which copies files from /etc/ hylafax to /var/spool/hylafax/etc on startup, I recommend copying FaxDispatch to /etc/hylafax and make changes there. Otherwise you may get problems on upgrade.

If I omit the line MIMENCODE=... in FaxDispatch, I get transferred all three types of FILETYPE (ps,pdf,tif), but the attached files of type tif are unreadable, though the file is not empty. Gimp says "missing headers".

Can you read the fax if attached as ps or pdf?
Can you read the tiff file if you copy it directly from Hylafax' spool directory?
There are some problems with certain versions of libtiff. Maybe you have to use a newer version of libtiff and maybe remove old versions.
