[hylafax-users] capi4hylafax (again) take 2 :)
Hello :)
Apologies if this is the wrong place for capi4hylafax problems but I can't
find any better place [1]
Quite simply, we have an Eicon DIVA Server 4BRI-8 card, HylaFAX 4.2.0, and
capi4hylafax 01.02.03 (all from Debian sarge) and whilst I can successfully
send a fax using 'c2sendfax' thus proving that the CAPI layer and config is
working OK, HylaFAX always says
Modem faxCAPI (+44.161.835.2301): Waiting for modem to come ready
In the logs I see only this:
Oct 26 16:36:21 localhost FaxQueuer[2879]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.2.0

Oct 26 16:37:44 localhost FaxQueuer[2879]: NOTIFY exit status: 0 (2906)
The log at /var/spool/hylafax/log/capi4hylafax contains no useful information,
only the following each time the 'c2faxrecv' daemon is launched.
Oct 26 16:36:17.63: [ 2816]: c2faxrecv - INFO:
Device "faxCAPI" uses 2 receive thread(s) with the following config:
Oct 26 16:36:17.63: [ 2816]: c2faxrecv - INFO: Controller=1 : accept all
Oct 26 16:36:17.63: [ 2816]: c2faxrecv - INFO:
We only want to send faxes, but is it normal to have this constant status of
'waiting for modem to come ready' ?
Cheers,
Gavin.
