Thanks Lee!  I re-did the whole setup; but now, I
have a black fax.  I will recheck my whole configuration
before I continue posting questions.

I've removed (I hope) all instances of libtiff v3.6.1
and ghostscript8.01 (8.14 is the latest).  Now I'm
recompiling hylafax.
