My modem's on ttyS0 and I've never seen ttySHSF0
Is yours a PCI modem - the HSF chipset's used in some pci modems i've seen?  I've never liked PCI modems - I probably would if I had a multiport one though.
 
I'd do what Tomas suggested and check if the device is linked to another one, and if it is, try running faxaddmodem with the actual device name (assuming it is linked to different dev).  Other than that I can only point you to the How-to and setup guide on the hylafax website

I have downloaded and installed minicom changed the serial port to
/dev/ttySHSF0 it initializes and gives me ok
I  typed minicom --dial= (my mobile number for instance) and I was able
to dial my mobile
what's next??
