The "DID line" is only a line that the telco uses to send the DID signal
(because the DID signal does not come on the dialtone line). So you don't
use it for anything but for receiving the DID signal and "busying-out" the
line.
You would fax out on the dialtone line.
I do not understand why I need two lines? a dialtone line and a did-line?
The dialtone line is for the normal faxing stuff. The DID line is for the
DID signal.
Which is connected to the modem and what happens with the other line?
Both lines are connected to the modem. It has a jack for each line.
