Re: [hylafax-users] Problem using hylafax & capi4hylafax
Yes, I did so ....
My mods:
- 0777 for /dev/capi20
mine are 600, user=uucp group=root
- added this line to /va/spool/fax/etc/config: SendFaxCmd:
/usr/bin/c2faxsend
- changed permissions of /usr/bin/c2faxsend to 0777
mine are 755, user/group = root
- add a symb. link /dev/faxCAPI to /dev/capi20
why did you do that? I think this is not documented with capi4linux.
The CAPI-drivers can't be directly used as a modem.
- the maschines' ip-adresses are in /var/spool/fax/etc/hosts.hfaxd
- the users are members of group "dialout"
To check if you have a handling problem with hylafax or with windows
clientsoftware:
Can you send a fax from the commandline with sendfax?
if no: Was capi4hylafax installed to be used with hylafax?
did you run "faxaddmodem /dev/faxCAPI"? this won't work. Run "faxsetup"
up to the point, where faxaddmodem should be called, and say no. Place
your config.faxCAPI in the etc-dir and start c2faxrecv.
The logging you provided leads to faxsend, so there seems to be a
problem with handling the sending process (may be modem communication).
