Re: [hylafax-users] pager problem

Anyone have any flashes of inspiration on this pager problem in the past week?

I'm still stumped and needing a solution, so any informed thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi,

I'm having problems using the sendpage command.

I've got HylaFAX 4.1.7 (installed from RPM) on Redhat 9.

When I send the page, the response is always (in the e-mail):

Your pager job to 2325553 failed because:
Message block transmit failed; paging central rejected it

See detailed trace below.

It seems fine until it gets to the point of telling the paging central
the pager ID number to send to, then it says:

Cannot deliver ID's: 0000000002325553

The funny part is, this works fine if I use minicom and send the page
using the manual mode of the TAP/IXO protocol (see minicom transcript
below). I can tell the paging central the pager ID number as 2325553
(same as attempted in the automatic protocol), or I can tell it as
0000000002325553 (the ID it complains with when my side enters the short
version).

Both PINs work in manual mode, and (if I fudge pagermap to add or not
add the zeros) both PINs fail in automatic mode.

This is for the Rogers (formerly Cantel, formerly AT&T) paging central number in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in case anyone else has had success in this neighbourhood.

If anyone can help diagnose this, it will be GREATLY appreciated.

Regards.

Martin
