It seems that you added the virtual CAPI-Modem as /dev/faxCAPI to 
hylafax. The CAPI-Device can't be accessed in this way.
You should use the config.faxCAPI file installed by capi4hylafax as 
modem-config-file.
c2faxrecv should be running and have an entry in /etc/inittab.
May be you could describe your problem more precisely:
- is the AVM-firmware working properly?
- is receiving with c2faxrecv possible?
- is sending with c2faxsend possible?
