Due to the fact that the patch applies against CVS and not 4.1.7.

No, you only use the last patch.

I've used a Zoom 2920 with no problems, as well as Zoom's USB version 
of that modem line, also without problems.

Notice that this time we got a successful training at 14400.  So there 
is some improvement.

As for the "no response to PPS sent 3 times" error that you're getting, 
I'd prefer to wait until after you try CVS before trying to figure out 
that problem... since something in CVS may make a difference here.  (I 
can't say *what* off-hand, though.)
