[hylafax-users] email samba users notification

I know I've seen this somewhere, but now I cannot seem to find it.

I'm looking to notify my samba users of their fax status via email.  
Somewhere I saw some mention of creating an alias type file like this:

sambauser1 email1@domain.com
sambauser2 email2@domain.com
etc...

Is this possible?  Where would it be done?

I appreciate everyone's help
