[hylafax-users] calling inside an area code

Another newbie question, probably...

Suppose I'm sending a fax from the (U.S.) 650 area code, where HylaFAX
has been told that its local area code is 650. Faxes sent to
"1-650-555-1234" and "555-1234" are handled correctly by the dialrules
provided with HylaFAX, but sending to "650-555-1234" fails. I was
hoping/expecting that the local area code would get recognized and that
the provided number would get converted to one of those that worked,
but this seems not to be the case.

Assuming that this is correct behavior, is there a principled way to
get 650-xxx-xxxx numbers handled correctly, or do I need to deal with
it in the code that's handing the numbers off to HylaFAX?

Thanks,
Jim
