[hylafax-users] one modem stops responding periodically
hello
i have a problem with receiving faxes. two modems are connected to the
computer. one day after installation, one of the modems stopped responding
to incoming calls. running faxsetup solved problem but almost everyday
problem occured once. i swapped phone lines of modems wihout changing any
setting then i got the problem on the other modem.so no problem with modems
and serial ports. however i don't think that there is something wrong with
the line because another fax server on windows was running well. moreover,
when modem didn't respond, i checked the line connecting a telephone instead
of the modem, then telephone rang then i heard signal. (but still i cannot
understand why problem occurs on the same line)
can you help me
lines below are from /var/log/messages file (before problem occurs there is
a root entry on Apr 11 18:31:38, but in fact nobody used the console. what
are the FaxQueuer,hylafax processes before problem occurs. to whom does
faxgetty say hello) i tried to keep it short
