[hylafax-users] Hylafax sometimes hangs when receiving a fax.

Hi everybody,

I was using Hylafax since years on a RedHat 6.1 Linux system without any 
problem (about 30 to 50 faxes per day).

After upgrading to RedHat 8.0 (kernel 2.4.18-14) and installing 
hylafax-4.1.5-1rh8.i386.rpm (same hardware, same modem, same 
configuration procedure), Hylafax hangs about once per day and only 
continues working after being restarted.

The last log file before Hylafax hangs has

Note that the last line was only added after Hylafax was restarted. This 
happens with a wide variety of fax senders - not just a few numbers. In 
addition, a sender fax number that once caused Hylafax to hang may work 
at another occasion without problem. Switching the modem hardware did 
not help (it is a MODEM TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC. 56.0 VOICE).

The log file of the previous regular fax reception that did not cause 
Hylafax to hang has the following lines after the last RECV:

I googled for Hylafax RedHat 8.0 Hylafax receive hanging etc. but did 
not find any useful information. Has anyone already seen this problem? 
Any help is greatly appreciated.
