[hylafax-users] ghostscript compiling from source and debian

Ok, this doens't actually pertain to Hylafax directly, but I'm trying to get
hylafax installed.

I've got ghostscript, libtiff, libjpeg, and zlib, i dump jpeg/zlib into the
ghostscript directory and run ./configure, it finishes and I try either make
so or make, and it bombs on some X11 stuff. This particular box doesn't use
X at all, and I have no X libraries. Is this required, or is there some
sort of work around. I realize that hylafax can be font/graphic intensive
(on the client side) but I figured the server would be ok without. I'm
trying to keep the install to a bare minimum.

any help is greatly appreciated.

joey
