[hylafax-users] Question about Class 1 modems and copy quality checking
Hi! I have HylaFAX set up with a class 1 fax modem. It seems to be working
just fine. However, the received faxes are being processed by TeleFORMs,
which is having problems with the images -- it's really mangling them.
Thus, I am assuming that there is some issue with the data format. Reading
the man pages, I see that if you can enable copy quality checking, the
server will rewrite the data from the modem in whatever format you specify,
making sure that it is correct. However, if you don't have CQ checking
enabled, the data written is the raw data received from the modem. I see
the commands for class 2 modems to enable CQ checking, but I can't see any
way to do so with class 1 modems. How would I force the server to re-write
the data in the format I want? Alternatively, is there a command line
tiff2tiff program that anyone can suggest?
Thanks,
Ricky Morse
