[hylafax-users] Modem Conexant HCF 56k Data/Fax Modem (rev 08). Not able to configure it.

Hy all

I would like to configure Hylafax 4.1 on a small Linux Mandrake 8.2 server.

I am trying to use a modem Conexant HCF 56k Data/Fax Modem (rev 08) (PCI 
version. PCI interrupt: 00:0b.0). The port is /dev/ttySHCF0 (or alternatively 
/dev/cuaHCF0)

It works fine with pppd (I use it for Internet connection without any 
problem), but I cannot use it with cu or hylafax. 

Even when I try to test it with cu -l /dev/ttySHCF0 (in superuser mode) the 
answer is 

cu: open (/dev/ttySHCF0): Permission denied
cu: ttySHCF0: Line in use

But the line is not in use at all ... :-(

Do you have a clue???

Modem driver: hcfpcimodem-0.97mbsibeta02070500k2.4.18
