Don't do this, I've seen problems using links when referring to devices, try
using /dev/ttyS0 in your inittab line instead.

If you have a printer set up on the machine you should be able to put a line
like this into your faxrcvd

/usr/bin/tiff2ps -a $FILE | lpr -Phr

This entry causes faxes to be printed to the printer named hr.
