[hylafax-users] Anybody using USB modem in Linux and having success?

Hi Everybody,
I got my hylafax server complied and installed from source, after
hitting the documentation for a few hours, and resolving and oddity with
ghost script finding fonts, everything is working fine with a sportster
56K faxmodem. :-). :-) :-).

I was wondering if anyone has any success with a usb(!) modem(s) under
linux hylafax. I've currently got a ELSA microlink 56k fun usb , but a
warning to you all, it's a winmodem, a winmodem over usb, how disgusting
is that, I'm not even interested in trying to get this ugly device to
work, I hate winmodems with a passion!!!!
I've not had any success locating the 'non'-usb version, which
apparently works fine with linux. My plan is to operate a few modems
over usb, or am I just hoping for too much to expect usb to function as
well as plain old serial ports?

So, I have money ready for a usb fax modem that works with
hylafax/linux, obviously I'd like to give my money to a linux aware
hardware vendor, that has open spec's, and supports the open source
community, perhaps even a hardware vendor that supports the hylafax
project directly!!!

Am I hoping for too much there...probably (sigh).

Cheers,
Lee
