Re: [hylafax-users] printing faxes automatically to a windows printer

I know it is possible to mount a windows printer on a Linux box, providing
you are using a current distro and recent samba. This section of the SMB
How-To covers printing from a Linux box to a windows printer,
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/SMB-HOWTO-10.html. You could use the
faxrcvd-ps script as your faxrcvd
http://www.hylafax.org/howto/faxrcvd/faxrcvd-ps, except rather than using a
faxrcvd-mail to mail the PostScript output, manufacture a script to spool it
to the appropriate printer, providing that printer is capable of handling
PostScript. The stock faxrcvd uses the file FaxDispatch to route faxes via
e-mail, based upon what device they came in one, and other criteria, and I
imagine that you could use it to specify what printer to print to as well.
If the printer will not handle PostScript output, your best bet would be
some sort of OLE automation through WHFC like Bernd was talking about, I've
no idea how to do that.
