Re: [hylafax-users] Hylafax 4.1 - Windows Client (Cypheus)

Ignore previous message. Problem resolved by installing Cypheus 1.09 (had
1.08 previously at work and 1.09 at home).

Thnx, Kulraj

Subject: [hylafax-users] Hylafax 4.1 - Windows Client (Cypheus)

Dear All,

I am using the new Hylafax 4.1 with Cyheus. And have troubling logging in -
but selectively.

Here is my hosts.hfaxd file with a few explaining comments :

---------------------------
localhost
127.0.0.1
10.0.0.101 #IP Address of my
workstation (Win2K)
10.0.0.102 #IP Address of other
workstation (Win2K)
207.230.xxx.xxx #IP Address of my home
cable connection (WinME)

---------------------------

The hylafax server is running FreeBSD 4.3 has an external network interface
(204.xxx.xxx.xxx) connected to internet; and an internal 10.x.x.x network
card - so its a basically a natd box.

I did most of the configuration from home, and tested from there - I could
logon to hylafax server via Cypheus and view incoming faxes without a
problem. (Haven't tested outbound yet). Although faxes are being received I
cannot log into the hylafax server from my Win2K machine at work. I have
tried to connect to server at 10.0.0.1 or 204.xxx.xxx.xxx both to no avail.
I get a Cypheus message, and I quote :
"You entered a wrong username or password. Please try again."

I don't think this is a Cypheus issue - but something in the configuratyion
that I haven't done right.
But I re-itterate it worked like a charm from home. What am I missing?
Something obvious no doubt.

Any and all advice gratefully appreciated.

Regards,

Kulraj Gurm
