[hylafax-users] COMREC error (code 72)
After successfully testing a Hylafax server, thanks to some assistance from
the list, I moved it into production last week. Of course, things then went
kaplooey. I am thinking that it may have been the fault of the phone line.
The phone line I placed it on for production comes off of our T1 circuit,
the line I was testing it on was a true analog. We had a fax machine, HP
Laserjet 3100, on the prodution line prior, but I am wondering if the line
and the modem had some issues communicating effectively. About two-thirds of
the faxes received on that particular machine this weekend failed, all
giving the COMREC error as the resaon. I searched through the archives and
the FAQ prior to posting, but I did not find anything which really seemed to
give me an answer. Is this a modem issue, a line issue, or a config issue?
Any answers/directions in which to look are appreciated.
My server is a Pentium 166, Red Hat 7.1, Hylafax-4.1beta3 installed from
source, Hayes Accura 33.6 Flash Ext modem on ttyS0.
I have appended one of the traces that was sent, as well as my config.ttyS0.
I appreciate any and all input.
Josh
