Yes

Yes

I'll try this...
I just tried using sendfax to send 5 faxes in rapid succession. A
subsequent faxstat -s showed:
root@fx1# faxstat -s
HylaFAX scheduler on fx1.pair.net: Running
Modem cuaa0 (): Sending job 35
JID Pri S Owner Number Pages Dials TTS Status
35 127 R alan 3819997 0:2 0:12
36 127 W alan 3819997 0:0 0:12
37 127 B alan 3819997 0:0 0:12 Blocked by concurrent job
38 127 W alan 3819997 0:0 0:12
39 127 B alan 3819997 0:0 0:12 Blocked by concurrent
So it looks like every other fax is in "waiting" state, and the rest
block on the first one.
When I submitted 2 more faxes after the first batch were "finished":
root@fx1# !!
faxstat -s
HylaFAX scheduler on fx1.pair.net: Running
Modem cuaa0 (+1.412.381.9997): Initializing server
JID Pri S Owner Number Pages Dials TTS Status
40 127 W alan 3819997 0:0 0:12
36 127 W alan 3819997 0:0 0:12
41 127 R alan 3819997 0:2 0:12
38 127 W alan 3819997 0:0 0:12
The first one (40) is Waiting, but the second one is sending.
So this seems to be affecting every other fax...
Doing a "faxmodem cuaa0" after these faxes settled down made the rest
of the faxes go through. What does this signify?
The fact that this affects every other fax makes me wonder, does faxq
think it has 2 modems, but one of them is bogus so it's not working
when scheduling every other fax?
After doing the "faxmodem cuaa0" I tried sending 4 more times, and
again it only send every other fax.
I think maybe the easiest thing to do would be to switch to faxgetty
instead. I'll try that and see how it goes.
> When you submit a fax, does you see something partucular in the system log?
No.
Thank you very much for your help so far...
