You're trying to send faxes *without* the use of any of the standard
clients, which was really the datum we needed to know.  :-)

Do a sendfax -vv and watch the dialog; if you have further questions,
probably best to ask them on the -devel mailing list, instead; what
you're trying to do makes you a developer.  :-)
