Since everyone here has been such a hugh help to me in
getting HylaFAX working, and it is now that I convinced the
PTB to get a good server and not much around with add-on PCI
serial cards.

When installing the latest 4.1beta3 I too had to upgrade the
libtiff and got conflicts with libtiif-devel.  The answer I
found was to do the upgrade of libtiff-devel first:

rpm -U libtiff-devel....

then do the normal libtiff:

rpm -U libtiff-3.5.5.....

Then do the HylaFax install.  In my case a new install.

rpm -i hylafax.....

and then I did the Hylafax docs.

All installed nicely and is working wonderfully with WHFC.
