Before we go any farther, you should be aware that 4.1beta2 as distributed
from SuSE via RPM is almost two years old excepting the libtiff-3.5
compatibility that they patch it with.  There have been *significant*
improvements in many areas which you will want to utilize in the 4.1beta3
release.  I suggest that you uninstall your current HylaFAX installation:

rpm -e hylafax

Grab the 4.1beta3 SuSE binaries from ftp.hylafax.org, and then install those.

rpm -Uvh hylafax*

This may not be the problem-solver, but you will be better off with the new
code, and we can help you better from there.
