Do you know what equipment the bloke at the other end is using? He's not
using a Windows based fax gateway is he? He might be giving you half the
story if this is the case.

There's a common problem with Windows Imaging and some printers where it'll
display the multi-page tiff of the fax but print it all in black. If he's
using a normal fax machine then obviously I'm barking up the wrong tree, if
he's using a Windows machine and (most likely an HP printer) let me know and
I'll send you more details.
