Well done! Although, I really do recommend you try the RPM since you're on
RedHat linux . . . it will make upgrades much more painless in the future.

veritable treasure-trove of information. For instance:

If you look in:

ftp://ftp.hylafax.org/pub/hylafax/hylafax-4.1/binary/linux/RPMS/i386/


You will see the most recent RPM is:

	hylafax-4.1beta2-5rh6.i386.rpm

I highly recommend using it.
