tiff 3.4 has no libtiff.so.x shared

I just downgraded from tiff 3.5 to 3.4.0 because my
Hylafax was not working.

Now that Hylafax IS working I notice other stuff is NOT working
because the libtiff.so libraries are missing.

Going back to 3.5 will renew my Hylafax problem.

Is there anything I can do?

Using Hylafax v4.0pl2 with FreeBSD 3.4 & a USR Internal Faxmodem
