flexfax: What's better modem?

I am try to configure HylaFAX in SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 with an modem U.S. Robotics and i am many problems.

When initialize the server, respond with "MODEM WEDGED. CAN NOT INITIALIZE THE MODEM'.

The manual advise to use the FAS driver but i'm not installed.

What's minicom ?

 

For the other hand, what's the better modem to install HylaFAX without problems?. Anyone in the list modems on then manual?.
