What version of HylaFAX? What modem?

If you're running 4.0pl2, you should make sure you apply the tagline encoding 
patch. If you're using a ZyXeL modem, there may be a firmware upgrade which 
will help. . . they have corrected a bug which caused excessive RTNs with 
HylaFAX.
