Incidentally, is there some reason you are not using the RPM?

May I recommend the RPMs of the (REAL! soon) to be officially announced 
beta-test release which may be found at:

Nico will be over the moon to learn that the ghostscript dependency has been 
relaxed, and the dependencies in general have been tidied up ;-)
