debugging help needed

Hi,

I have the problem that my modem appears 'wedged', although I can
talk to it using 'cu' or run PPP sessions over it. With ServerTracing
set to 0x3f syslogd reports:

Aug 29 19:23:56 faber FaxQueuer[2569]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.0pl2
Aug 29 19:23:56 faber FaxQueuer[2569]: Copyright (c) 1990-1996 Sam Leffler
Aug 29 19:23:56 faber FaxQueuer[2569]: Copyright (c) 1991-1996 Silicon Graphics, Inc.
Aug 29 19:25:38 faber FaxQueuer[2569]: MODEM /dev/cuaa2 appears to be wedged
Aug 29 19:25:38 faber FaxQueuer[2569]: MODEM WEDGED: bin/wedged "cuaa2" "/dev/cuaa2"

There is no session trace showing up in the log subdirectory,
although I set SessionTracing to 0x94be. (Why?)

My modem is a ELSA MicroLink 33.6MC which is Class-2.0-capable.

What might be wrong with my configuration? Is there any tracing
bit which will reveal more information? How should I track down
the problem?

Any hint would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I
need to provide parts of my configuration files in detail.

Thanks!

-Bernd
