flexfax: hfaxd problem

I have Hylafax 4.0 pl2 up and running.

Only hfaxd is behaving a littele strange. It works when
I start it from inetd but when I want to start it in 
standalone mode with hfaxd -I it tells me

getpeername: socket operation on nonsocket

What does it tell me, what do I have to change?
