    We send nearly 600 faxes per day. This problem does not occur very
    often, however.

There is a patch of Phil Abercrombie (sent to the list on Sep 25)
fixing a bug in wrapping sequence numbers for jobs and docs.
This bug may cause this problem. Please pick it up from the
archives or come back to me.

If this doesn't solve the problem try to catch such example, e.g
catch the q#### files from sendq or doneq and the referenced
docs.
