And the device needs to be set "rw" for group uucp as well. And any
new modems or devices have to be set up at boot time. And *all*
fax/modem software has to use the same permissions. And....
Like changing from English screws to metric, it involves a lot of
changes that have to propagate correctly elsewhere. I'm not convinced
it's worth the grief, particularly if HylaFAX is to remain compatible
with the broadest range of other software.
