Bad Linux Admin! No biscuit! For various reasons, uucp and fax really
need to share the same user ID. This has been the subject of much
discussion lately, but it boils down to "making them different will
screw up handing the modem from one program to the other, and will
be much, much too hard to do otherwise."

Simply put, you killed it. (No blame, just letting you know.) Change
this back to the same UID as uucp.
