flexfax: Scaling of faxes during printing

Red Hat Linux release 4.2 (Biltmore) Kernel 2.0.30 
(HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.0pl1): 
Aladdin Ghostscript 5.03 (1997-8-8)

Various modems.

I can send faxes OK (with a few quirks that I'm going to ask about separately)
I can receive faxes OK.

When I print them (to a LaserJet 5 spooled from a HPUX box running JetDirect) 
using fax2ps I get the top left quarter of the page.  Where's the rest of it???
