HELP: Document was encoded with 2DMR, but client does not support , this data format

Hi folks,

...im using HylaFAX v4.0pl1 build from source on Linux with GS-4.03
and a MultiTech MT2834ZDXI modem.

...i'm generating about 350 faxes a day with this setup.
I just came up with the following error:

 "Document was encoded with 2DMR, but client does not support this data
format"

????? All faxes are generated with the SAME list of parameters via
sendfax....the parameter that selects 1-D or 2-D encoding is NOT used!!
All documents are submitted in PS format.
All other remote sites, that appear to have the same remote capabilities
like the one below, are correctly fed with a 1-D document.

WHAT happend? ...help!
