Before You Install
------------------

This is a binary for Solaris2.5-x86 (SUNOS 5.5).

I already testing this software with 'ZyXEL' U-1496E.

You must install the following software before you install this.

1) tiff-v3.4beta036

   You can ftp in sgi.com/graphics/tiff
   
2) gs and fonts

   Source can find in ftp.cs.wisc.edu/ghost/aladdin
   Binary can find in ftp.cary.net/pub/unix/fax
   
3) gcc-2.7.2.2

   Source can find in sunsite.unc.edu/pub/gnu
   Binary can find in ftp.cary.net/pub/unix/sun/solaris/x86/binaries
   
4) libg++2.7.2

   Source can find in sunsite.unc.edu/pub/gnu
   
You must add the LD_PATH=/usr/local/lib in /etc/init.d/rootusr

This binary will install the html document in /usr/local/etc/htdocs/hylafax.


Installation:

	hylafax-x86-solaris2.5-v4.0pl1-tar.gz
	sum 36343 8619
	md5 3ab5ae78eee83974c917b67118ca17ae
	
	gs403-x86-solaris2.5-tar.gz
	sum 8909 8059
	md5 a5451ad8b0c57ae598da6b2d77b09ceb
	
	
	
1.  gunzip hylafax-x86-solaris2.5-v4.0pl1-tar.gz
2.  cd to this unzip package
3.  run "make install"
4.  run "faxsetup" in /usr/local/sbin/faxsetup

Notice:

1.  using /dev/cua/* for your modem device
2.  add the device in /etc/uucp/Devices file like the follow:

	ACU cua/a - Any hayes
	Direct cua/a - Any direct
	
3.  using ttymon in GettyArgs

	"-g -h -d /dev/cua/a -l 38400 -m ldterm,ttcompat"
	
4.  add the follow at the /etc/inittab

	t1:23:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty cua/a
	
E-Mail to fax gateway:

I using the following at my site, this can send with text attach file.

1.	Add you fax host in DNS MX record.
2.	Add the mailer path.
	Mfax, P=/usr/local/lib/mailfax, F=DFMShu, A=mailfax $u $h $f
	
		and
		
	S0
	R$+<@fax.cary.net>	$#fax $@ $:$1
	
This can let public to send e-mail to fax, eg: 1234567@fax.cary.net to
send the e-mail to fax to 1234567.
