I'm pretty sure that this was fixed since 4.2.1.

I'm running the 4.2.1

Yes, and you'll need to upgrade. See:

http://bugs.hylafax.org/show_bug.cgi?id=582

I patched my 4.2.1 with the diff file, now the log seems ok:

May 17 18:11:35 gw FaxGetty[3616]: MODEM MULTI-TECH SYSTEMS MT5634ZPX-PCI-U/1.32k
May 17 18:11:35 gw FaxGetty[3616]: STATE CHANGE: MODEMWAIT -> RUNNING (timeout 30)
May 17 18:12:04 gw FaxGetty[3616]: STATE CHANGE: RUNNING -> LISTENING
May 17 18:12:04 gw FaxGetty[3616]: STATE CHANGE: LISTENING -> ANSWERING
May 17 18:12:08 gw FaxGetty[3616]: ANSWER: DATA CONNECTION
May 17 18:12:08 gw FaxGetty[3616]: GETTY: START "/sbin/mgetty -r -b -s 19200 ttyS14", pid 3635

But then nothing happens, mgetty stay listening but the distant modem doesn't connect and I have to kill the mgetty process to back to faxgetty and got this in the log:

May 17 18:18:38 gw FaxGetty[3616]: GETTY: exit status 02000
May 17 18:18:49 gw FaxGetty[3616]: MODEM MULTI-TECH SYSTEMS MT5634ZPX-PCI-U/1.32k
May 17 18:18:49 gw FaxGetty[3616]: STATE CHANGE: GETTYWAIT -> RUNNING (timeout 30)

I think it's a modem problem, I ask to the french MultiTech support but if you have some idea...

Thanks again.

Sam.
