I actually already ordered..
I consulted hylafax.org and found a wiki entry claiming that contextant
chipsets are good.
My current Server is using a USRobotics modem.. and seems to be working
*pretty* well.
I ordered a Zoom serial faxmodem with conextant chipset so i think i'll be
in good shape.

rule number one, don't buy USRobotics
rule number two, safest hardware that will be compatible is serial modems
(not USB, or PCI, etc)
rule number three, test it before you buy it
I'm using an old serial Diamond SupraExpress 56e Pro modem configured for
Class 1.0.
