Re: [hylafax-users] ttyS0 and ttyS1 devices

Now I've attached on port com2 (ttyS1) a second modem, and the goal is to use both modems for outgoing and incoming faxes.

In other word I would use these two channels on a FIFO basis in both directions.

Does Hylafax select automatically the less busy device or is there some config file to modify?

As for outbound faxes...

From http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/man/hylafax-config.php:

*ModemPriority*
The scheduling priority to use for a modem. Priority values are in
the range 0 to 255 with lesser values signifying higher (more
desirable) priority. The /Hyla//FAX/ scheduler process assigns the
highest priority modem that is ready for use when scheduling an
   outbound job.

If multiple available modems in a job's selected *ModemGroup * have
the same *ModemPriority* value, then the /Hyla//FAX/ scheduler
assigns jobs to them in a round-robin fashion.

As for incoming faxes, the modem that is used in that will be determined by the provider of the lines that are connected to those modems... so generally your telephone company or PBX. Usually they can let you choose how calls are allocated to those lines.
