Hi, I am finding it a bit confusing when trying to add a "super user" to the

^root@.*.\.mydomain\.

I've tried a few variations from the the man pages, but it always seems
to ask from a password.

Any suggestions?

There are three types of authentication that can be done: host-based authentication (based on IP address), username+password authentication (based on supplied username *and* password), and PAM-based authentication (uses PAM modules).

Using the HylaFAX username+password authentication will always require password verification.

My guess is that what you want is to set up some host-based authentication entries.

That said, I suspect that logging in with admin privileges will always require a password entry.
