Thanks - my take on a quick read is that the JBIG support may be a "nice" 
thing to have, it is not essential. If I sent a LOT of black/white faxes, 
then maybe it would be something to support. I shy away from having to patch 
libraries for special packages such as this because then in the future I have 
to always make sure the patch is maintained on my system. That can lead to a 
lot of work and hassle. Need a big payoff for that.
