Are libfaxutil and libfaxserver pointing to the so-named 4.2.3.1 DSOs?  
Were those DSOs the same ones that were made when you built and 
installed 4.2.3.2?

If so, then delete all of the other libfaxutil and libfaxserver 
appearances, restart hfaxd, faxq, faxgetty and try again.
