[hylafax-users] Any Advantage with Mgetty+Sendfax?

Currently installing HylaFAX on a FreeBSD 5.4 machine and ran into, what 
appears to be, a relatively minor conflict with a previously installed 
mgetty+sendfax.  There were several recommendations presented my members 
of the mailing list, which should resolve the issue but I wonder if 
there is any real advantage to keeping mgetty+sendfax on my system at 
all.  I'm especially concerned about possibility of future problems with 
mgetty+sendfax.  I have little expertise in this area.
