I find it easier to use a very simple hosts.hfaxd unless you really need
it to be more complex. This hosts.hfaxd works for me to allow all users
from the listed machines to use the fax services:

localhost
127.0.0.1
10.100.47.254
10.100.47.253
10.100.47.252
...
